printmaking > false color 2019

False color is a tool used by scientists to highlight different elements in the landscape, and when looking at other planets. One side effect of this: things tend to look more compelling when using false color than with what would be considered the 'true' color of a thing.

I started this series with the idea of false color in mind, and played with textures and movement. The grids are drypoint and based upon a Mercator projection style of mapping.
