I'm going to be part of the Arvada Center's Art of the State exhibition. The show will run from 21 January - 27 March 2016. The show was curated by Gwen Chanzit, Michael Chavez, and Collin Pearson. It's a huge honor to be part of this show and I'm really glad to be a part of it.

The opening is Thursday, 21 January from 6-9 pm.

Upcoming show at Walker Fine Art

I'm going to be part of a 4 person show with Peter Illig, Ben Strawn, and Chris DeKnikker opening February 5 from 5-9 PM. I just finished the paintings this week and I'm pretty excited about them.

Additionally, I'm going to be part of a traveling portfolio this year- I'll post more information as I get it.

PRINTHOUSTON NEXT 2014

I'm thrilled to announce that I won 1st place at the juried PrintHouston Next exhibition! It is a gorgeous show with strong work overall. You can see images from the exhibition here. I really enjoyed meeting everyone at the opening and got to see some amazing art in Houston.

I'm pleased to announce that I've been juried into the PRINTHOUSTON NEXT: 2014 show at the Nicole Longnecker Gallery in Houston, TX. The opening is Saturday, 7 June from 5-8 and I will be attending.

I also want to remind everyone that I'm part of the crop group of artists for the 2014 CSArt Colorado season. For $400, you get 10 works of art from a strong group of Colorado artists. This is a great way to start or grow your art collection and the distribution events are really fun and attended by the artists. If you are looking for more community in your art experience, I highly recommend this opportunity.

This is the inaugural year for Month of Printmaking Denver. There is an amazing lineup of shows, studio tours, lectures, and artist demonstrations.

I will be giving an artist talk at Walker Fine Art on Tuesday, March 25. There will also be a panel discussion with established printmakers. If you're looking to educate yourself about printmaking, this would be good lecture to attend.

The Open Press 25th anniversary show at McNichols is great- I highly recommend seeing it. There is a huge diversity of artists and styles, all made at Open Press.

I'll be participating in SPARK's small works show from 29 November - 19 December. The show opens on Friday, 30 November from 6-9. I'll have small paintings and collages available for super cheap. It's also instant gratification-- you buy the work off the wall and it's yours! It's always a really fun opening and most of the members are around if you would like to meet them.

SPARK's annual member show takes place from 20 December to 27 January. We'll have a big opening on Friday, 21 December from 6-9. I'm thinking about hanging a new painting, but I might make some new prints for the show.

Thanks to everyone who came to the opening on Friday! I had a great time meeting so many lovely people and finally getting a chance to see everything up. My studio is tiny, so this was the first chance I've had to see everything together on the wall.

I'm going to bring a couple of small plates to the gallery so that people can see how a print is made. If you're curious about the process, please ask!

I will have a show up at SPARK from 3 - 27 March. We will have snackies for first Friday (5 - 9 PM), and the opening will be on Friday, 11 March from 5 - 9.

Collector's Friday is on 18 March from 5 - 9 and I will be there to talk and answer any questions. Most galleries in the Arts District on Santa Fe are open late and it's a great time to see art and meet the artists.

I'm participating in the SPARK small works show which runs from Dec 16 - 24. This is a great show for people who are looking for small art on the cheap for yourself or as gifts. I'll be showing the small collages which you can buy for $15 - 20 each. The opening is on 17 Dec from 6 - 9 PM. There will be snackies for those of you who are motivated by such things.

My first solo show at SPARK will take place in March 2011 from the 3rd to the 27th. The show is going to be called Mapping: Pattern Recognition and will contain new paintings from that series. More information will be available closer to the show.
