false harmony

This series started because I revisited the images of the Gold King Mine spill from 2015. I created the palette to emulate colors from industrial waste with some counterpoints of colors I commonly associate with the natural environment. The plate making process was experimental for me: I used alcohol and inks directly on a photopolymer plate to erode and damage the plate. What you're seeing is the end result of some very stinky and toxic erosion on the plate.
